To all the brothers. Due to increasing infections of coronavirus and more deaths we are decided to close the community next two weeks. Jazakumullahu khayran
Rules for when we reopen.
Everyone that comes must have their own *Face Mask, Prayer Mat and Bag for Shoes.*
There may be queues so please come early and stay patient.
* The masjaad will have a one way system. The entrance to the masjaad will be from the back of the masjaad car park and the exit will be from the shop.
Don’t forget to do *Wudu at home*
Remember that these are tough times that we are going through, please stay patient and remember to *Donate to Your Masjaad!*
The rules and regulations must be followed at all times.
Jazakamullahu khairan
The masjid is in need of your donations now more than ever.
The Prophet SAWS said:
Wealth does not decrease through charity.
Rather it increases. Allah puts barakah in your wealth.
The Prophet SAWS also said
Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah builds a house for him in Paradise.
If this is the reward for the one who builds a masjid for the sake of Allah then how about the one who maintains the establishment of it by making constant donations.
These are testing times to see who truly loves the house of Allah and is willing to ensure it remains established because without your donations, how will the rent and bills be paid.
Allah SWT says
[Surat At-Tawbah 18]
The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.
May Allah make us of those who maintain the houses of Allah and accept our charity.

We also need your help to re-locate to another place because our masjid which is located under an old estate building will be demolished. The building is very old and located in a poverty based area. Therefore, the government aims to demolish the old building and build new apartment buildings to improve the area.
We are seeking your help because of our struggle to keep our Masjid and Madrasah running. We are the only Masjid in our area with a large community of Muslims. After many years of observing the five daily prayers and providing Islamic education to our young children, it would be devastating to close down the Masjid.
Please donate as much as you can towards buying a new building for our Masjid and the maintenance of our masjid.
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in paradise (Bukhari & Muslim).

12 March Update:
It has been announced that emergency legislation will be introduced in the UK to contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) next week. This will have a significant impact on mosques, madrasas and Islamic Centres.
- Advice for individuals: hygiene
- Advice for mosques
- Advice for madrasas / educational settings
- Signage/Resources in your mosque, madrasa or community centre
- Coping with stress during COVID-19 outbreak
- Deaths/Funeral Rites related to COVID-19
1. Advice for individuals
- covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
- put used tissues in the bin immediately
- wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
- try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
- if you feel unwell, stay at home, do not attend work or school.
The symptoms of coronavirus are: a cough, a high temperature and shortness of breath. But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.
Note: Face masks – It is not advised to wear a face mask unless you are a carer of somebody who has Covid-19, or you have flu-like symptoms yourself and are wearing it to prevent the spread to others. A mask is unlikely to help prevent catching the infection as masks are usually ill fitting, not changed regularly, and can actually make it more likely as the virus can sit on the mask surface increasing the chance of infection if touched
Keep up to date with the latest public health advice at: 2. Advice for mosques: Keeping your congregations safeMosques, madrasas and Muslim community centres should already be following best hygiene practices, but during this COVID-19 outbreak it is especially important that:
- wudu (ablution) areas have sufficient soap, hand sanitiser and paper towels to ensure visitors are able to comply with hygiene advice.
- carpeted prayer halls are cleaned more regularly than normal and keeping the building/rooms well ventilated at all times
- Displaying posters produced by public health bodies regarding hygiene and handwashing (see below)
It is particularly important for Muslim institutions to advise their community members (congregation members, volunteers, staff etc.) who have travelled back to the UK recently from specific regions of the world as highlighted by the Foreign Office. At present, the advice is that worshippers should not attend the mosque if they have:
- been to the Hubei province in China, Iran, South Korea or Northern Italy in the last 14 days
- flu-like symptoms (even if mild) and have returned, in the last 14 days, from mainland China, Italy, South Korea, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia,
Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam - flu-like symptoms and have been within 2 metres of a confirmed case of Covid-19
At present there is no advice on restricting congregational gatherings. However, there is the strong possibility that we may be advised to do so in the next few days. Now is a good opportunity for
mosques to proactively plan for such a situation and understand how it might work in practice. If we were told as such by the authorities, it is important for mosque committee and scholars to show
clear, decisive leadership and follow the public health advice which may include considering the temporary suspension of congregational prayers and events.
If the situation was to continue until Ramadan which is also likely, contingency plans for temporarily suspending of iftar and i’tikaf at the mosque may be necessary (as has been currently put in place by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Masjid Al Haram). Regarding individuals who feel unwell, the advice regarding fasting should follow similar religious rulings to other flu-like illnesses, based on the information we have at present (unless severely ill with Covid-19). We are likely to understand this disease better in the coming weeks so the advice on the risk to individuals may change.
